We address barriers and challenges in K-12 education, including the lack of representation, and limited outreach to Black youth for cultural capital opportunities.
Ethnic and Racial Identity (ERI) Deficit:
Focusing on cultivating a robust ethnic and racial identity (ERI) among Black and brown youth to counter the negative impact on self-esteem, agency, and academic progress..
Cultural Competency Training:

Youth Leadership and Advisory:

"Culturally restorative learning goes beyond traditional education approaches. It recognizes the importance of acknowledging and valuing diverse cultural backgrounds.
Studies indicate that such approaches contribute to increased engagement, reduced disciplinary actions, and enhanced mental health outcomes for African-American students."
